Naples on a Budget Itinerary
You don't have to be rich to enjoy some of the best sights in Naples, our budget itinerary helps you keep hold of your hard earned cash where possible while having a great time.
Remember that on the first Sunday of every month, all the galleries and museums are free. Also, if you are under 25 you can get cheaper tickets with some form of ID.
- Start by heading up to the Sanità and Materdei district and visit the Cimitero delle Fontanelle (you can walk or grab a metro to Materdei station)
- Head back to the main road and walk (for around 30 min) to Capodimonte park (Real Bosco di Capodimonte) . The museum is a few euros but the beautiful park is free. To save more money, have a picnic around here. Or, grab a euro slice of pizza on your walk back to Piazza Dante.
- Wander around the historical centre and relax in the piazzas. Browse in the beautiful shops, look at all the figurines and see all the churches. If you have the money, stop for coffee! It is cheaper having an espresso at the bar (no table service).
- Walk down the main street towards the see and visit Castel dell'Ovo which is free.
- Walk along the Lungomare and sit by the sea. Stop by a local shop for some bread, ham and pesto for a cheap as chips (but way better) lunch, or head back up towards the historical centre for the cheaper restaurants for a relaxing dinner.
